The Village of Smithville seeks innovative and experienced candidates for the position of Police Chief.
Qualified applicants shall have a minimum of 15 years experience of law enforcement (required) which should include 5 years of supervisory experience (preferred) at the rank of Police Sergeant or higher.
Applicants must have a valid Ohio driver’s license, successful completion of a motor vehicle records check, and standard background checks will be required.
Other qualifications include OPOTA certification (required), college degree (preferred), LEADS certification upon appointment to the position (preferred).
Starting salary commensurate with experience and includes a competitive benefits package.
